For online shops in Ireland
Give your shop the withdrawal button Irish law now requires
Irish law is now in force: since 30 June 2026, online shops selling to consumers in Ireland must offer a withdrawal function on their site — a clearly labelled button, a separate confirmation step and an acknowledgement on a durable medium. Clawzia adds it to any shop with one line of code.

Verifiable receipts
Every confirmed withdrawal gets a receipt ID and a cryptographic fingerprint. Anyone with the ID can check the time it was received on our verification page, with no personal data shown.
No cookies, no tracking
The widget sets no cookies, stores no identifiers in the browser and loads nothing from third parties.
What we store — no surprises
For every withdrawal we store the consumer's name, email address and order reference, any items and message they add, their language, the wording they were shown, and the timestamps. To guard against abuse we also keep a hash of the IP address and the browser's user agent. Full details are in our privacy policy.
Data processing agreement (DPA)
Clawzia processes consumer data on your behalf, as a processor. The data processing agreement page shows the terms and their current status.
Wording from the law, with sources
Button and confirmation wording, dates and legal references come from our country registry, which lists its sources. Until a solicitor has verified the Ireland wording, the widget uses the wording of the EU directive instead.
Agencies welcome
Manage several client shops from one account with the agency plan.
Frequently asked questions
Is Clawzia legal advice?
No. Clawzia is a technical tool: it implements the withdrawal function. For advice on your obligations, talk to a qualified solicitor.
What wording does the button show?
The wording comes from our country registry. While the Ireland wording is pending our legal verification, the widget shows the wording of the EU directive in your shop's language. Your dashboard always shows which wording is currently live.
Do consumers need an account?
No. Consumers only enter their name, email address and order reference. No login and no reason for the withdrawal are required.
What if the widget cannot load?
If the script cannot load at all, for example because our server cannot be reached or a browser extension blocks it, the widget shows no withdrawal link. If the script loads but your shop's settings cannot, it shows a link to the hosted withdrawal form with the EU directive's wording in English. For visitors without JavaScript, the WordPress and OpenCart plugins add a plain link to the hosted form. The hosted form runs on our servers, so it works only while our service can be reached.
Does it work with my platform?
Yes, as long as you can add a script tag to your shop’s template. We have guides for WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop, OpenCart, Wix and Squarespace, plus general steps for any custom-built site — see the installation guides.
