Add the online withdrawal button to your shop in minutes
EU law requires shops that sell online to let consumers withdraw from a contract online: through a clearly labelled button, a separate confirmation step and an acknowledgement on a durable medium. Clawzia adds this function to any shop with one line of code.
Under Directive (EU) 2023/2673, Art. 11a CRD, the withdrawal button carries an unambiguous label such as withdraw from contract here(wording of the EU directive, pending our legal verification), and a separate confirmation step lets the consumer confirm, for example with confirm withdrawal(wording of the EU directive, pending our legal verification). Each country puts the rule into national law with its own wording, dates and penalties.

How it works
1
Create your shop
Sign up with your email address; no password needed. Choose your country and language: the button wording comes from our country registry.
2
Paste one line of code
Add the script tag to your shop's template. The withdrawal link appears in your footer, in your shop's language.
3
Withdrawals arrive documented
Consumers withdraw in two steps and receive a confirmation email with the content, date and time. You get a notification and a timestamped record in your dashboard, with a receipt that can be verified online.
Installed in about 5 minutes
One script tag works on any shop where you can add a script to the template. The widget is small, loads after your page and uses no cookies.
Every confirmed withdrawal gets a receipt ID and a cryptographic fingerprint. Anyone with the ID can check the time of receipt on our verification page, without seeing personal data.
No cookies, no trackers
The widget sets no cookies, stores no identifiers in the browser and loads nothing from third parties.
What we store, listed openly
For each withdrawal we store the consumer's name, email address and order reference, any items and message they add, their language, the texts they were shown and the timestamps. To protect against abuse we also keep a hash of the IP address and the browser's user-agent string. Details are in our privacy policy.
Data processing agreement (DPA)
Clawzia processes consumer data on your behalf, as a processor. The data processing agreement page shows the terms and their current status.
Wording from the law, with sources
Button texts, dates and legal references come from our country registry, which lists its sources. Until a lawyer has verified a country's wording, the widget uses the wording of the EU directive.
Made for agencies too
Manage many client shops in one account with the agency plan.
Frequently asked questions
Is Clawzia legal advice?
No. Clawzia is a technical tool: it implements the withdrawal function. For advice on your obligations, consult a qualified lawyer.
Which wording does the button show?
The wording comes from our country registry. While a country's national wording is pending our legal verification, the widget shows the wording of the EU directive in your shop's language. Your dashboard always shows which wording is live.
Do consumers need an account?
No. Consumers only enter their name, email address and order reference. No login and no reason for the withdrawal are required.
What if the widget cannot load?
If the script cannot load at all, for example because our server cannot be reached or a browser extension blocks it, the widget shows no withdrawal link. If the script loads but your shop's settings cannot, it shows a link to the hosted withdrawal form with the EU directive's wording in English. For visitors without JavaScript, the WordPress and OpenCart plugins add a plain link to the hosted form. The hosted form runs on our servers, so it works only while our service can be reached.
Does it work with my shop platform?
Yes, if you can add a script tag to your shop's template. See the installation guides.
