Installation

Install the withdrawal button on your shop

One line of code works on any shop where you can add a script to every page. Irish shops run on all sorts of platforms — Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace and PrestaShop among them — so pick yours below for step-by-step instructions, or follow the general steps.

Before you start

  1. Create your shop in Clawzia

Sign up with your email address, create the shop, choose its country and default language and enter the email address that receives withdrawal notifications.

  2. Allow your shop’s domains

Add every domain your shop runs on to the allowed domains, for example with and without www and the platform address of your shop. On other domains the widget only shows a link to the hosted form, with the EU directive’s wording in English.

  3. Copy your code

Copy the code from the Install page of your dashboard (for the plugins, only the public key, which starts with pk_). The public key is not a secret.

The installation code

Paste the code from your dashboard right before the closing </body> tag of every page, or follow a step-by-step guide: WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop, OpenCart, Wix or Squarespace. The example below shows a placeholder key; your own code is in the dashboard.

Install code (example)
<script src="https://clawzia.com/widget.js" data-shop="pk_YOUR_SHOP_KEY" defer></script>

Your personal code with your shop key is in the dashboard after sign-up.

Check the installation

  1. Open your shop in a private window

The withdrawal link appears at the end of your footer, or as a floating button, depending on the position you chose in the dashboard.

  2. Try it with the keyboard

Press Tab until the link is focused, then Enter: the two-step withdrawal form opens. Close it with Esc.

  3. Check that the code is there once

View the page source and search for data-shop="pk_. The script tag should appear exactly once per page.

  4. Send a test withdrawal

Send a withdrawal with your own email address and the order reference TEST. Check the confirmation email and its receipt link, then close the request in your dashboard.

  5. If the link does not appear

If your site sends a Content Security Policy, allow https://clawzia.com in script-src and connect-src. Exclude widget.js from script combining, minifying and “delay JavaScript” features of optimisation plugins and CDNs.

Questions about installing

Do I need a developer?

Usually not. If you can add code to your theme or install a plugin, you can do it yourself. If you would rather not, our one-time setup service (€79) does it for you.

Will the widget slow my shop down?

The widget is small and loads with defer, after the page. It sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties.

What about the cookie banner?

The widget sets no cookies and stores nothing in the browser. Just make sure your consent banner or an optimisation plugin doesn't delay or block the script — otherwise the link won't appear for some visitors.

My shop has more than one language. What do I do?

Add the page language to the script tag, for example data-lang="en", or let the WordPress plugin do it for you. Without it, the widget uses your shop’s default language.

My platform isn't listed.

Follow the guide for any website: most shop platforms have a setting for custom code near the bottom of the page. If yours doesn't, get in touch.
