Three ways to add the withdrawal function
Clawzia, the built-in function of your shop platform or your own development: the right choice depends on your platform, your team and the countries you sell to, Ireland included.
The options side by side
| Clawzia | Built into your platform | Your own development | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Button wording per country | From our country registry, with sources and verification status | Depends on the platform | You research and update it |
| Two-step form and confirmation email | Yes | Depends on the platform | You build it |
| Timestamped receipts anyone can verify | Yes | Depends on the platform | You build it |
| Record of every request, with export | Yes | Depends on the platform | You build it |
| Works on any shop platform | Yes, with one script tag | Only on that platform | On the sites you build it for |
| When the law changes | We update the registry; the wording on your site follows | Depends on the vendor | You follow the changes and update the code |
| Cookies and third-party requests | None from the widget | Depends on the platform | Your choice |
| Design and behaviour | Position, colours and languages | Depends on the platform | Full control |
| Effort to set up | Paste one line or install a plugin | Switch it on and configure it | Design, build, test and maintain |
| Cost | From €4.99 per month | Depends on the platform | Development and maintenance time |
When your platform’s function is enough
If your shop platform already offers a withdrawal function that fits the rules of the countries you sell to, you may not need Clawzia. Check that it covers the points in the table, in particular the wording, the separate confirmation step and the acknowledgement email with date and time.
When building it yourself makes sense
If you have developers and sell in a single country, building the function yourself gives you full control. Plan for the second step, the acknowledgement email, a record of every request, accessibility, and the work of following changes in the law.
Whatever you choose
